Happy Sunday! Blessings to you and your loved ones.

Saturday I gave a talk on "Emotional Fitness" to 50 attorneys at San Juaquin College of Law. Crushed it, they loved it, and below are the main takeaways I shared with them.

Also, our first ever Death Mastery game is FULL! If you still want to be in it, I might make an exception... since you're a newsletter subscriber. Find out more below. If you're in, expect login details in the next few days! The Live kickoff event is this Sunday at 2pm PST.

First, 1 point on pain:

All pain is resistance to the moment. Bliss is the moment.
All awe is realizing the moment. Every “wow!” is simple. It’s "Now!"

We are not aware of how hard we resist reality. Feel the tension in your body right now. You run, fidget, try everything to avoid your Truth. Avoiding pain is the problem. Running. Moving.
Even in stillness, how you squirm in your mind!

The bliss is behind the squirming. In stillness. Bring your waves to ripples. Even just a sip of your Truth feels like enlightenment to you. How could you then, drink the ocean? If you want to know Truth, you must develop the caliber to sit in its tonnage.

Don't mistake the thoughts, data, ideas, forms, shapes for the thing itself. You may cling to it (knowledge) if'n you recognize it pass by, but don't mistake it for Truth Itself. Truth is beyond "knowing". It's experienced in Being.

Truth is a feeling of achy bliss. As we avoid it, it avoids us back. It is a magnet, and if you switch your poles, it beams you in. Then there is no separation. Between you and Truth. You and God.

Viktor Frankl said: "In between any stimulus and our response is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response."

Here's the equation for this:

Hedge yourself against your gut reactions, snap judgements, by spending time in that awareness space before making a choice about what something means. Not everything that demands your gut reaction deserves one. I Michael Scott'ed this Gandhi quote about the consequences of our actions:A few slides from my presentation on pranayama for lawyers:Expect highlight clips on Youtube next week or as soon as we get the recordings in!SOLD OUT!! --- Death Mastery GameIf you haven't heard, we're launching our pilot Death Mastery course this coming Sunday--and every seat it FULL! Here's one final chance just for you: Use this link. Those of you already in, expect log in details in the next few days!"Breath & emotion are linked. When you are shocked, your breathing changes. When you are full of rage or passion, your breathing changes. When you are at rest, your breathing changes. So, the goal is to make your breathing regular to still and calm the mind.” Joseph Campbell
